Jamiem, not hugely wise to admit that you are an insider and posting confidential information such as the advance. The unauthorised reveal of that sort of information is gross misconduct.
Actually, it's not rubbish. I know people in the industry who have been fired for doing exactly what you're doing, Jamiem.
As for the casting, I have to say it makes me want to see the show even less. And I wasn't that fussed to begin with. I can't get my head around this show coming back, and into such a huge venue.

Just found an interview with Baayork Lee talking about the new A Chorus Line and casting etc:

She looks tiny but sounds really nice. I wonder who is going to play Connie?

Oh well guess its true and was really looking forward to seeing it too!

Relieved its not "dead-pan" strallen (summer) in the role. Not overly enthused about partridge though. Any other casting news as yet? Sheila?

Knew there would be a Strallen involved somehow. Either Summer or Scarlett would have been perfect so happy for Scarlett

At least it is a decent musical with a few known respected performers. I have just been trying to find things to go to for next year and it seems to be the year of US imports with leads incuded, plays replacing musicals, cheap shows using kids, shows with small casts, even more one person or small group shows or SCD dancers filling the local theatres, unknowns singing unknown new musicals , a couple of strong tours and the tours of some of the big shows getting the better cast. Cabaret, Shrek, Dreamboats, Taboo and the Chicago tour are all gone by next March to join Blood Brothers, Ghost, Grease, Legally and Wizard of Oz in the land where most of the top MT performers of recent years and the musicals with full scale casts seem to have been consigned. My credit card is delighted that it looks like getting massively less use, but my diary is looking 75% empty.
I was torn. John Partridge was a good argument not to go, but Leigh Ziimmerman was stunning as Velma and may be well worth a ticket.
