What? Really? Isn't it doing well? That will be such a short run for such a successful musical - I really hope it doesn't close!

Hairspray doesn't come off tour till October, so A Chorus Line will have had a decent run. It's not a popular show over here, and so I think if it does shutter in October it'll have done well. It's planning to tour though.
Though I know Hairspray also looked at The Palace between Singing in the Rain and The Commitments. Got their pick of houses it would seem.

Is there a possibility that Chorus Line will play out it's entire run through January?

Didn't they look at the Savoy as well? Guessing a number of theatres are becoming available.

If Hairspray doesnt do the palladium, Chorus will run till Jan. Simon Cowell has reportedly got the palladium for x factor musical starting March/April next year.

Don't underestimate the amount of pre-show professional interest in The Pajama Game, also from Chichester.

If Simon Cowell is anything to do with X Factor Musical, he will have nothing but the best for the theatre. He will no doubt pick either Palladium or Drury Lane, although id be surprised if Charlie isnt a big hit, leaving Drury Lane unavailble for several years.

But the Palladium might pull ACL if it's not selling mid September and put in the ever faithful Scrooge/ holiday filler should Hairspray go elsewhere or finish after the tour. At the Palladium the Hairspray tour will have an extra 800 seats per show to fill, than when it was on at the Shaftesbury.
"How dare they try to end this beauty!?!?"
