The show's done incredibly well to still be running today, it is the only one of two shows that opened in 2006 that are still running and that was a great year for new shows with Avenue Q, Spamalot, Sound of Music all in the space of a few months.

I would be extremely surprised if they didn't try and cast a London Elphaba afterall it always creates some hype. As there is no chance in hell of Kerry returning, Rachel would be the obvious bet. But if not, maybe Alexia, Ashleigh or Nikki? Especially the standbys as they had such large fanbases.
I'm in a very small minority but I'd much prefer someone new but if they DO bring back an Elphaba, I'd choose Alexia over Rachel.

No they don't, they have a comparatively small yet vocal group following each of them - to the wider public nobody has got a clue who any Elphaba standby is. The only well known name that anyone can attribute to Elphaba in the UK is Rachel, second being Kerry.
I agree with you it would make sense to hire Rachel for the gig.

That's true. Nikki is a complete unknown. If they want a former Elphaba to open the tour it kind of needs to be Rachel.
