JK Rowling read from Peter Pan and I think I saw Cruella de Vil in the background before an army of Mary Poppins' arrived to chase away the monsters. Good fun so far!

Am watching this at it happens live, so far very impressive, loved the children from all parts of Britain singing that wonderfully rousing song Jerusalem, a bit surprised to see Kenneth Branagh suddenly turn up. Anyone else watching this as it happens?

I was so impressed by the whole event - thought it would be about 3 hours of teams walking in, but no. Very, very well done even if it cost taxpayers a bunch.
