Still no news about Charles Spencer?  I'm getting quite worried.  I have enjoyed his reviews for years even though politically we are poles apart.  I notice the Telegraph have other reviewers in addition to Dominic Cavendish.  I wish someone would tell us.

He is back in today's Telegraph with a review of "Kissing Sid James". Within the review itself he touches on the circumstances behind his recent lengthy absence from the paper.

Saw it!  So glad he's back, all's well with the world!

Yep just seen this. Clinical depression. Poor bloke. Anyway, Charles, if you read this website or if anyone here knows you, welcome back!

One positive thing for him is that he came back too late to review the Wooster Group's Hiawatha-inspired deconstruction of Troilus & Cressida - exactly the type of thing he really hates.

He's had a troubled past hasn't he, alcoholism, depression - tough to keep bouncing back.

Oh yes, ho ho, I'm gald to say that the Barbican's marketing effort operates so far under my radar that I wasn't even aware this was on so I was not tempted to book. Of course any whiff of on-stage nudity, however feeble, does tend to pique the audience's interest momentarily, as it does (apparently) in Forests and Troilus and Cressida.

Not to mention his snoring disability. http://www.telegraph...tre-review.html
