Interesting!!! In many ways an easy show to tour! The only complicated set is the bus... Everything else was pretty much just cloths (or could be recreated with just cloths). The only other major bit of set was the Les Girls steps, but that could be scaled down.
Now then, how easy is it to get a bus in and out of all these touring houses? It worked with a bigger bus in Australia, but then their theatres are a bit more modern...

I hear it will be in Birmingham in late March 2013?
Birmingham has phantom from beginning of March if it's a two year tour may get it next summer!! Doesn't surprise me that it opens in Manchester! Where did you hear that it's opening April 2013 as have heard Feb who knows but they need to announce it soon to start selling tickets as it won't sell as quick as lion king and phantom etc...

Birmingham has two major touring houses, Phantom at the Hippodrome, Priscilla at the Alexandra. Allegedly.

The Alex has shows booked in Feb/March, If ATG are involved it will come to Manchester first as part of their 'Manchester Gets it First' initiative.

I think the Alex is too small for the show especially with a massive bus on stage they revolves etc..think we may get in same time of year we have phantom in 2013 so more than likely brum in 2014 but who knows announcement is needed but this is priscilla and you'll never know when they will announce it like they did when London show close. Hopefully news soon!!

I have a friend that knows people behind Priscilla and they said that there will be a Tour in 2013, but no dates have been confirmed yet (hopefully towards the end of the year). Obviously the bus will be the most difficult piece of equipment to tour and I think the people behind Priscilla did say that the bus will be involved so do not worry guys
. The scale of the sets are enormous too, but it won't be too difficult to tour hopefully. If you look at Phantom of the Opera and Lion King, they have had over 20 truckloads of show elements and the sets are massive, so I think Priscilla could do the same but based on a huge stage across the UK venues. It's still too early for Priscilla to confirm the venues at the moment, they have opened the auditions and they need a cast before they can confirm anything. Hope this helps!
