Hi all,

Just created this to get some ideas from people, got an upcoming audition for Elphaba in London, and nervous about what to sing.

More than likely I'd be eyeing up the standby role, since 1) it's available and 2) i don't think my voice is strong enough for lead.

Any ideas what to sing?

Find a song that Elphaba would sing, but isn't from Wicked. Something that would show her personality, and how you would bring this out via song - make them believe it's Elphaba singing and not you. But as a huge Wicked fan, wats important to me from the actress playing Elphaba is the ability to do a huge justice to DG and actually hit that note. That's why I love Rachel - she always seems to get it.
2012: Sweeney Todd - Mamma Mia - Les Miserablés - The Phantom Of The Opera - Hay Fever - Written On The Heart - The Awkward Squad - The Duchess Of Malfi - A Tale Of Two Cities - Soul Sister - She Stoops To Conquer - 13 - Noises Off - Absent Friends - Juno And The Paycock - Masterclass - Travelling Light - The Fitzrovia Radio Hour - Abigail's Party - One Man, Two Guvnors - What The Butler Saw - The Mystery Of Edwin Drood - The Sunshine Boys - Pippin - Last Of The Haussmans - The Importance Of Being Ernest - The Merchant Of Venice

I don't understand why you felt the need to state this? You could've just said you're auditioning for Elphaba... hmm.

Also, you may have just lost the job you were auditioning for by making such an unprofessional post on a public forum. Just saying.

Personally I find this a bizarre thing to ask on a public forum, particularly for a role as huge as Elphaba. Don't you have guidance from anyone for an audition like this?

Though how is "guest123" going to be identified as any individual?
