Yes, it's sung by Lili and The General.

Just watched the show tonight, thoroughly enjoyed it even if it did seen a bit long!! Carolyn as Lilli/Kate was wonderful! I'd never heard her sing properly before, what a voice! Also loved Al Bourne, was great to see him in a more 'classic' theatre roll (not Khashoggi!)
I wish the Old Vic would put head shots in their programmes. Anyone know who the girl who did the lifts in 'Too Darn Hot' is?

Saw this tonight. Was dissapointed that both Hannah and Alex were off sick - but illness, what can you do? I hope they've not been struck by norovirus - but the understudies were both very good.
I enjoyed it. It was a fun, light, old fashioned musical.

Yes I was also there last night and very disappointed at the notices saying the 2 leads would be understudied, but have to say by the interval I was really won over. I haven't seen the others so can't say if it was worse (or better!) in any way, but they were both certainly good enough to carry the show.
Overall a thoroughly enjoyable and very silly evening. Long (just under 3 hrs) but didn't feel it. Highly recommended.

I found this a bit of a let down, not helped (as mentioned above) that BOTH leads were off on Wednesday night. It lacked sparkle, was frequently overdone, and was overlong (I thought Too Darn Hot was never going to end, and even Brush Up Your Shakespeare outstayed its welcome). It was not awful by any means, though it ought to have been a lot better.
The engine roared, the motor hissed,
And who could see that the road would twist

Have just woken up after seeing this back in December. What a snooze-fest.
There was so very little excitement throughout the show - I'm not sure why they bothered.

Hi, I'm thinking of taking about 15 teenage girls to this for a birthday party, do you think this is something they would enjoy?
