Hmmm, I can see this on Thursday for £12....or I can wait for the film version the tellybox on Sunday.

I think I'll go for the theatre.  It's amazing how I can sit through 2+hrs of theatre no problem, but a film has to be superb for it to keep my attention, especially if it's on the TV as I'm easily distracted and get up to make tea, go to the loo, faff on 'tinternet, fall asleep on the settee, etc etc.

I think it is worth a theatre trip. You'll enjoy it. [ mind you, we usually disagree so let's see how it goes....]

If you're under 26 you can get £5 tickets for the London run - I just got centre stalls!

kjb - they opened it up on the telly or rather closed it up, the conspiracy taking place in corridors etc and being more intense and absorbing, the actors really enjoying the close ups I think.  So actually better on the telly. But I think the play worked v well on stage as it was presented in Stratford.

Do we really?  I can't say that I'd noticed.

I didn't go to the theatre in the end.  I decided to watch the telly version. That said, I recorded it and haven't actually watched it yet.  It's good to hear that it worked well on the TV.  I am looking forward to watching it - maybe this weekend.

watched this on tv and it seemed to have transferred over well, some very strong performances, i've only ever read this before and needless to say it was much more interesting on watching it. thumbs up.
