Dammit, I've missed out on tickets for this again! Was busy watching mountain biking on saturday. I guess I'll have to keep an eye out for returns!

Hello everyone. I think this is the first time I've posted in the Plays section, I normally stick to Musicals! 
I love this book and didn't even know there was a play of it until I saw this post on the front page of the forum (as most recently updated thread in this section) a couple of weeks ago. I soon realised I stood little or no chance of getting a ticket though. Yesterday I found out it is being screened in my local cinema on 6th September, so I jumped at the chance to get a ticket for it today. I only found out about that as a friend from the other side of the country said she was going to a live screening on that night, so I thought it was worth checking my cinema listings. I was very surprised to find they are showing it as it's only a small cinema.
I haven't read the book for a good couple of years, so will read it again before I go to remind me of the details, as I can only remember the basics. From what I've just read through on this thread I think I'll enjoy it, I'm looking forward to it. I hope it works as well on a cinema screen, this will be the first time I've seen anything like this.

Saw this the other night, it is wonderful. A brilliant piece of theatre, perfect story telling coupled with strong direction, performances and a hugely innovative design.

Wow, this is very good indeed. Was in tears twice- even once is v rare for me! Best thing I've seen so far this year. It is remarkably well done- the integration and cohesion of projection, lighting, set and sound is stunning- and Luke Treadaway is perfect. Plus a firm favourite of mine, Niamh Cusack, who is v touching as Siobhan.
Just a shame about a couple of Nicola Walker loonies sitting infornt of me, who chatted throughout, and literally jumped out of their seats when she first came on stage and said to each other in the interval "I swear she recognised me, I'm going to wave to her in the second half" which they did.
