But this production is so much better than A Little Night Music was. The cast is miles better.

That means nothing if you cant get people through the door. A show many have never heard of, no well known songs, no name recognition in the cast, West End ticket prices etc etc. If it were me im not sure id invest my money in producing a transfer.
Do we have dates yet? Im hoping they are leaving a decent gap to build an advance otherwise thats another issue

It'll be April at the earliest, after Old Times. So no Oliviers this year.

I know it won't sell amazingly, but given the West End is packed with juke boxes, film rehashes, and the long runners, it fills a gap in the market.

Yes, of course- I'm not saying it's not good it's transferring. It's on the whole a very strong production of a flawed, yet deeply moving, piece. But commercially it's certainly a brave thing to do.
