No, I liked the set too, it functioned perfectly for all locales.
As to Franklin Shepherd, I agree with all of the praise for Mark Umbers' performance. As has been noted, he is the most difficult character to get right because, IMO, he is not the bad guy his "friends" portray him to be. His only fault seems to be ambition - he wants to move on when those around him want him to stay in place. "I don't make that a crime", to quote one of the lines in Good Thing Going. The only unsympathetic thing about him is his success. His friends desert him - not the other way around - yet he ends up as the heavy of the piece. It's a fine line the actor has to walk here and Umbers does it brilliantly.

I think I must be the only person who actually liked the set! It is simple but I wouldn't call it ugly.
I also liked the set. Felt very LA.
Damian Humbley and Josefina Gabrielle were great. I think she's the best Gussie I've seen - brilliantly played and for me, the stand-out performance.

Quite a few seats for Sat afternoon and two for Sat Evening (we've nabbed two for Sunday afternoon), presumably because of this tiny flurry of snow we're having.

Keep checking their web-site, there's a single return for this evening on there now, but they have had quite a few over this past week. https://www.menierch...essionlanguage=

There is a 70% chance the show will transfer to the Harold Pinter.

Jenna Russell was off sick last night. Her understudy was superb.

Her understudy was back on for two shows today also. It is also looking very likely now that this show WILL transfer to the Harold Pinter.
