From her twitter it seems like she's just using up lots of holiday. She'll have to be back to doing all (or nearly all) shows soon though, I thought I saw a tweet from Lauren saying she's off on holiday in the next few days!
I've seen a few tweets from cast members about auditioning as well, though I'm assuming cast change will be sept/oct?

Sarah French is leaving WWRY ( maybe already left) ? which i'm not atall suprised about.
Will Lauren Varnham be full time Scara now ?

I'm not surprised she's leaving, but i find it strange she's left mid-contract...she seemed happy to be back, at least at first! Unless she was only ever coming back to finish off a contract. She was a great Scara, but fair enough if she doesn't want to do it any more.
I'd love Lauren to be full-time Scara, or maybe they could get Lauren Samuels back, she only left a couple of months ago! I suspect Lauren V will be promoted until cast change at least, and they'll bump someone else up to a Scara cover and 1st cover Meat. Then again, they chose to bring Sabrina back last summer rather than promote the understudies, so who knows what will happen!
Cast change is 6th October, so it's still quite far away...

So she's already left ? I had assumed she would have had a proper final show.
Don't blame her leaving, must have been exhausting looking after her daughter and being in the show.
Not sure i'll see WWRY until after cast change anyway.

I don't know if she's already left, all I know is what's on twitter. But if she's announcing it now there's no way she'll be staying til cast change, which means she's either leaving mid-contract or her contract is up at a different time to everyone else's!
I don't think I'll be going back for a while either. It's been nearly a year since I've seen it, but there are other shows I want to see first and I've seen most of the current leads.

I'm sure we can expect a familiar face to return.

Could you not be more specific rather than just hinting that you know something the rest of us don't? I find that really annoying...
And frankly I hope it's not Sabrina, I want her to be the next Elphaba, though she might be able to make it work anyway if she does get that part (indeed if it's even available) as the cast changes are a few weeks apart. Wouldn't mind Lauren Samuels coming back though, I haven't seen her Scara so I'd be tempted to go back to the show when I wouldn't otherwise.

She said on twitter she wants to be a full-time mother.
