Because of the high price of the tickets - especially the ridiculously high booking fee.

Just for the anniversary night or in general? They're by no means the most expensive in the West End, and it's very easy to get discounts, unlike for some other shows like Phantom...

I'm suprised Tony Vincent hasn't been invited to the anniversary show. I'd heard some of the original cast had been asked back & are closing the evening... obviously not him !There are still quite a number of tickets available - will be a pity if it's not a Full House.

The thing i'm most looking forward to is seeing Sarah French again <img src='http://www.whatsonstage.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

That is strange, I'd have expected he'd be top of the invite list!
The only original cast I've heard of going are Kerry Ellis and Hannah Jane Fox, who else is definitely going? I'd guess Sharon D Clarke as well if she takes a night off from Ghost, but who knows...
Seems like far too many people who've given a lot to this show seem to have been left out.
Just noticed this on the WWRY Wiki - don't for a minute think it's true, but it made me laugh:

There are plans to axe the musical in 2013, and for a replacement, based on the songs of the obscure early 70's psyche-prog band 'Egg' to take it's place. Despite this change, the musical will follow a similar format to its counterpart.

Tony Vincent has been invited and he really wanted to come, apparently they wouldn't pay to bring him over!

well none of the other leads have been invited. from what i know, alex bourne, ricardo alfonso, sabrina aloueche, jenna lee james, rachel tucker, lucy sinclair, ian carlyle, jon boydon.. the list is endless. its a shame wwry can't honour their casts the way others have during anniversaries.still they all seem to be in good spirits about this on twitter!

Can't help but feel a bit let down after tonight's '10TH GALA ANNIVERSARY'. The normal show itself was great and the cast on top form, as expected at these special shows, but the extras...all that hype? Nothing that they haven't done every year. Just the show must go on and some confetti. Even Roger got stuck under the stage as the set bringing him on either malfunctioned or someone just forgot he was down there. The speeches were a bit lame, barely acknowledged past cast, Ben Elton just ranted at everyone. Why all the drama with holding back tickets for months, sticking the hardcore wwry fans that aren't in the QFC in the circle if it's just going to be like every other year? Yes, I'll never ever get tired of seeing Roger and Brian play live in front of me, but if they hadn't made so much fuss about 'special plans' etc I'd have been happy. Why was the whole theatre priced at £75? To offset the cost of 2000 free glowsticks? To offset the cost of all the comped z listers (minus a few notable celebs)? The hologram DID happen, but blink and you'd have missed it.
The limited edition programmes were very nicely designed but again I think they're missing a trick with other limited edition merch they could have flogged. Oh well. They have our money and seemingly, that's all that matters.
Happy Birthday WWRY.

I just don't care enough about the show anymore, but I hope everyone who went had fun. Instead I spent the evening drinking beer and watching 3 ex-bohemians (Sabrina Aloueche, Jodie Jacobs & Lucy Sinclair) play a gig in KingsX. Treat!!
