Weez - I'm sorry but I have to strongly disagree with you, the audience at the Young Vic is and has been wonderful, I have never encountered a problem there and have been going for over 20 years. What you discribe can be applied to ANY theatre with unreserved seating!
The most rude theatre in my opionion are certain stewards at the Globe Theatre who appear to have an inability to be nice to people. Interestingly I understand the Young Vic main theatre is based on the floor plan of the Globe theatre.
As I have already said I don't agree with there newish seating policy but understand why they have done it.

I won't deny the unpleasantness of certain Globe stewards, but Young Vic audiences are uniformly dreadful in my experience. If they're not rude outside, they're rude inside, talking and using telephones and traipsing in and out during performances. I love the Young Vic, but your experiences of their audiences do NOT reflect mine.

Was there last night for wild swans, I didn’t think it was very good but the front of house and patrons were all very lovely and cuddly ;-)
Broadway has been very good to me. But then, I've been very good to broadway.

Booked for this Saturday matinee Dec 8th. Good value at £10 a ticket. I shall take my chances in the scrum!

Resurrecting an old thread!
I have a spare £10 ticket for this, Friday 23rd November (I bought two, sure I'd convince someone to come with me, but total failure!). It's not quite sold out, but there are only £25 and £30 tickets left, so it's a bargain! Private message me if you're interested.

Young Vic's website says this is 2 hours 30 mins with no interval. Is that right?

I seem to remember it was just over 2 hours, with no interval

Just over two hours is a heavily cut production. Maybe last year they rehearsed a 2h 30m edited text and then cut it in performance and this year they've rehearsed the same 2h 30m text, which may also be cut by press night. It's in a larger theatre this year so is unlikely to be exactly the same show as last year.

Digging back in this thread confirms it was previously 2 hours.
