We don't generally have threadds for stuff downstairs at the Hampstead, but by all means, let's break the habit and go for it. Haven't booked, but will be going early-ish in the run I would have thought.
And I can't see this going to the West End, as for starters, I'm sure the cast have pretty full diaries.

If, for some strange reason you care what I've seen, it's all here:

I'm not sure it would work in a bigger theatre with a proscenium etc
To be honest I'm not *quite* sure it worked for me Upstairs though. The repetition bored me after a bit and I hoped to be a bit more moved/enchanted by it. Also some of the balloons are looking rather sorry for themselves now.

Has anyone taken a punt on "Lay Down Your Cross" yet? I'm in two minds about it. According to this blog review - http://www.glensthea...-hampstead.html -

I've seen it, yes. Can't really comment here as it needs its own thread, which I suppose I could start if no-one else is going to... though it still surprises me how often I come here to read or post about something, only to find no mention of it!

Just to bring the thread up to speed: Constellations is continuing the Royal Court's season at the Duke of Yorks, taking up residence from 9th Nov '12 - 5th Jan '13.
I suspect they will have to publicise it a lot.

Not a good choice, imho. Of all the productions in the Theatre Upstairs this season (and there have been some crackers as far as I'm concerned), this is the least successful and worthy of a transfer. Maybe they are trying to transfer some of the others, too; I do hope so as not only do they deserve a wider audience but Constellations alone will give people a misleadingly poor impression of the standard of work at the Theatre Upstairs and the Royal Court in general.

Constellations is the rarity as being one out of two production the RC have done in the last 15 months I didn't see. Their upstairs work can be very good or rather patchy.
However, I'd question the merits of whether *any* upstairs production would sit naturally in the Duke of Yorks. Surely those kinds of productions are generally better suited to the smaller venues (the Duchess springs to mind).
