I too saw the 90 seconds this afternoon and the only thing i wasn't impressed with was the sound, but that may have been due to the rain and the rustling of rain ponchos and umbrellas. I haven't seen this production yet, and as it is one of my favourite scores i have exchanged my tickets for next Saturday.
I don't think what we saw this afternoon could be judged at all, all they did was walk on and by the time father had introduced the black grandfather, the announcement for the actors to leave the stage came on.
Can anyone in the know tell me why they even performed that much of the show? The rain was exactly the same as when they stopped towelling the stage floor, and even some of the performers were smirking from the beginning, i assume because they knew the show wasn't going to carry on, or may have been because the majority of the audience were wearing rain ponchos and were a sight to behold!

"How dare they try to end this beauty!?!?"

That sounds like the first line of a short story. I'm intrigued to hear the rest.
