No you're not alone Id say it's a bit of a change in tone, not the easier feel good sell. Maybe they figure they can take risks now they hav a good reputation. Although I do wonder how much they are losing on the crazy for you transfer

According to the Crazy for You website, this transfer to the Novello has four commercial producers, and the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre originated the show but isn't co-producing the transfer. Surely they couldn't risk losing money on a commercial transfer?

Hasn’t the RSC produced Matilda’s transfer single-handedly? – I guess it’s a bigger organisation so it can absorb the risks more easily
Just booked for Ragtime. It felt strange thinking about sitting outdoors when the ground is covered in snow

Broadway has been very good to me. But then, I've been very good to broadway.

So excited about this. Casting-wise i'd like to see some of the amazing performers from Parade back on stage, how about:
Mother - Lara Pulver
Father - Norman Bowman
Younger brother - Stuart Matthew Price
Sarah - Malinda Parris
Coalhouse - Shaun Escoffery
I'd really like to see Cassie Compton as Evelyn Nesbitt
and maybe save Oliver Tompsett from Rock of Ages and cast him as Tateh
Louise Dearman would also be an awesome choice for Mother - would love to hear her belt Back to Before.

Has anyone heard anything on cast?

He's told us not to reveal that he's in it until the cast is officially announced, so I won't reveal his name, but one of the cast who left Jersey Boys recently is going into this (I think in a principal role).

I know the move in to Regent's Park (for the technical side) is next month, so news must be imminent.

A couple of the actors who were in the Crazy For You ensemble are going to be in it, though I don't know in what roles.

Any chance of Jenna Russell being tempted back to Regent's Park to play Mother?
