Watched it last night, and believe it or not, really enjoyed it.

Went to the tour in Glasgow, and surprise, surprise, really enjoyed it.

This show was slated on here before it even reached an arena, so at least folk are being consistent
I can't think out of the box as I don't have a box to start with.

I wanted to like it, as I'm a big Tim Minchin fan. But it just didn't do it for me.

UK dates have been postponed to October, still the same cast

http://www.whatsonst...=E8831360079538

According to joint statement from Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group and AEG Live: "Due to circumstances beyond their control RUG and AEG are rescheduling the Jesus Christ Superstar arena tour dates originally planned for March. This is largely due to the enormous demand across the Globe with tours in Australia, Europe and USA to be announced soon."

I think that's a bit much. We don't know why it has been cancelled. I'd guess ticket sales (hoping for a post-christmas boost from people getting the DVD as a gift, and that not happening) but there are so many things that would be out of their control that might have affected this.

I mentioned a while back that Matilda will be starting around March time so I reckon Minchin will be pressured to be doing a lot of publicity for that in the USA. Also with him being a guest star on Californication at the minute he may have some obligations there. I can see why they wouldn't want to recast Minchin, globally he is a big name now.

Yes, and perhaps poor ticket sales?

It was papered to high heavens the first time round - I would guess that it doesn't have the bums on seats to make it work. It wouldn't surprise me if the tour doesn't go ahead at all!
This is my street, I smile at the faces I've known all my life, They regard me with pride.
