I'm coming to the West End in a month and I noticed there's a new production of Wizard of Oz at the Royal Festival Hall starting July 23. Anybody know anything about this? I noticed Adam Cooper is playing Tin Man... isn't he more of a dancer? Is this more of a dance show or a true musical? Bringing my 9 year old stepdaughter and I thought it might be fun for her...

I'm going on the 24th July and as far as I know it's the actual musical. That's certainly what they're advertising it as.
I'd imagine the tin-man is a role that requires a lot of physical discipline hence why they cast a dancer.
There is a website: Wizard of Oz

I think it should be fun. It's the Wizard of Oz at the end of the day!
And they're doing lots of free stuff around it, including free cabarets on Fridays after the show, so hopefully it will be great.
Didn't Jude Kelly do a good job out of Carmen Jones last year?

Carmen Jones was amazing and so was On the Town
Broadway has been very good to me. But then, I've been very good to broadway.
