she has potential in this role, she was ok as roxie (certainly been worse) just depends if she can nail the acting aspect
She was terrific in Boeing Boeing and calendar girls it's her discipline that's a worry

Ellison has no presence on stage at all. The worst Roxie I ever saw.
No stage presence and playing Lina Lamont? Should be interesting - everyone do go see it within the next three weeks if possible!!

And the voice too. I saw her as 'Paulette' in Legally Blonde and she was possibly the weakest Paulette I've seen live. Lina requires a performer who's able to speak AND sing in THAT voice for the whole show, eight times a week. Not an easy job. She does look the part though, I'll give her that.

Also am I wrong or is Peter Forbes, currently playing Roscoe Dexter, taking over from Robert Powell as RF Simpson?

Not too busy. I'd say get there by 9:15 at the latest and you should definitely be able to get a ticket!

Just feels far too late, the film was ages ago.

Where did you read this? I'm guessing if it does close, it'll be July 2013 (next cast change). But I'm still finding it surprising, because as far as I know, ticket sales have been extremely good and the show doesn't even do any discounts!
