Cool topic!

So many shows, so little time   blink.gif

Thundercats.....Pipkins.......Mysterious Cities of Gold......

And Backdrifter, I remember the shows you mean:

This one came in at 76 in the 100 Scary moments on C4

76 - Children Of The Stones (1976)
Children's ITV drama broadcast in 1977 about a village held in the grip of psychic forces. The series centred around a father and son who came to live in a quiet English village called Milbury, which featured a rather spooky stone circle. They discover that everyone seems to be under the influence of strange psychic forces and for that reason the series is often referred to as The Wicker Man for children. Children of the Stones starred Gareth Thomas before he went on to fame in Blake's 7.

There was Kizzy, and a modern day Arthurian Legend one too.

I don't mean to sound old *but* they really don't make good kids drama programmes these days....

I really wish Lost had worked like this - the first season was addictive, but stringing it out with no hope of a conclusion means I've totally lost interest.  If they'd had a set two seasons, so we, and they, knew that they had to finish it, it would have kept my interest.

I read somewhere that the writers have (recently) said that they will do 4 seasons- or possibly 4.5, with a mini series between 3 and 4. It said what each series would deal with (1- The "Losties", 2- The Hatch, 3- The Others), and it seemed to make sense, and wouldn't result in an endless show. Whether or not this is Disney's plan, or even the writers' plan any more I don't know.

Apparantly, there is a 2 page document in the writers' office that details exactly what is happening on the island(s, now), and in the event of Lost being cancelled, they will produce a short film in which Joop the chimp reads it out, clearing up all of the mysteries.

I read there was enough material for 8 series?!

Loved the first and second series but haven't seen any of 3 since the first two eps as I'm too poor to afford Sky (yes, everybody aw!) and my mum was starting to object to me arriving on her sofa at the same time every week.

Maid Marian and her Merry Men is pure genius!!!  It's still my favourite version of the Robin Hood legend.  If you dare, look it up on youtube - a number of the songs have found their way there.  But once you watch them you'll be singing them for days!

Go on...  dare you...  biggrin.gif

What was the name of that show with the kids and the double decker bus?

Was it called here come the double deckers or was that just the theme tune?
