I get irritated when the seat selection thing isn't available. Different configuration, is it? The NT have obstinately refused to crack that issue where e.g. the Barbican manages to offer seat selection for flexible seating plans.

Further to the above - I emailed the NT and they said the seat selection is never available for the Cottesloe, but that's not true is it - I know I'm not imagining having used it when the 'normal' end-stage seating plan is used?

You are not imagining it; that is a lie! It is available for grief! I have definitely used it before!

Yes, seat selection is frequently available for the Cottesloe - it is currently for Grief and The Animals..., and off the top of my head it's been available recently for Twelfth Night, Beauty and the Beast and the double bill of American plays from Northampton.

Tickets still available for: 26, 27 October.  7.8 17, 18, 26, 28, and 29 November. And 14 December; as well as a stackful of January dates. Though when I went into book the site was down due to "processing" though not offline for as long as they said they'd be.  Got mine for November!

A footnote to the Cottesloe seat selection discussion - I got an apologetic email from the NT saying they had of course been wrong about it never having seat selection, and explaining that their current system meant it was too much disproportionate effort to create separate plans for each new configuration, but adding that they expect a new system to go online in due course that will enable seat selection for all Cottesloe configurations.
