The Daily Mail are reporting today that Aaron Tveit will be playing Enjolras. Have to say assuming it's true I'm very pleased with this casting. They could have done a lot worse, and he's a very talented guy.
On a side note unrelated to Les Mis - the Daily Mail also reports that Andrew Lloyd Webber has said that if the DVD for Love Never Dies sells well, he is considering working with Glenn Close to film a one-off stage production of Sunset Boulevard. I cannot put across how much this prospect excites me! Musn't get my hopes up though...

Blood Brothers, Chicago, End of the Rainbow, Ghost, Hair, Hairspray (UK Tour), Legally Blonde X2, Les Misérables X3, The Lion King, Matilda, The Phantom of the Opera, Spamalot (UK Tour), Sister Act, Sweeney Todd (Chichester), We Will Rock You, Wicked X3

So the whole cast list looks like this?
Jean Valjean - Hugh Jackman
Javert - Russell Crowe
Fantine - Anne Hathaway
Marius - Eddie Redmayne
Enjolras - Aaron Tveit
Thénardier - Sacha Baron Cohen
I must say, I'm only quite wary of Crowe, I simply can't imagine him singing Javert. Other than that, I'm excited to see Jackman and Redmayne and feeling quite positive about the rest. Now if only the remaining three female roles aren't complete disasters...

Read somewhere else that there were 4 actresses all going for the part of Eponine, they were Taylor Swift (god no), Scarlet Johannsen (can she sing?), Evan Rachel Wood (bit of a weak voice?) and Lea Michelle (my choice although maybe now too high profile?)
Wasn't Helena Bonham Carter pencilled in for Madame Thenardier already?

......... how can one be too high profile for the one movie musical that the entire world has been crying out for for the last quarter of a century?

Suppose I was thinking that it's hard to separate her from Rachel in Glee now, I know I saw a trailer for the New Years Eve film last week and just thought she was playing the same character.

I dont think Rachel in Glee and her in reality arnt too far apart which is why she is good in that role, she is basically playing an exagerated form of herself.
