The old thread is locked, but just saw this on Broadway World, either the Adelphi after One Man two Guvnors or one other theatre (The Savoy?) cast would be great, Julian Ovenden as Daniel Cleaver, and you can add Michael Xavier as Mark Darcy to the mix as he's been tweeting about the workshops for the past two weeks.http://broadwayworld...st-End-20110707

Thats been the rumour for a while but the Daly Mail reports there is one other theatre in the running, but they cant say which one yet.  Which makes me think a show is on th verge of announcing closure

Indeed - and what hardly anyone realises is Shakespeare hardly wrote an original piece in his career.. Most were based on poems, other plays or historical events.

Michael Xavier has taken over from Bertie Carvel in that role - who obviously wouldn't be able to do the role if it opened next year given his involvement with Matilda.

Michael Xavier has been playing Daniel Cleaver in the workshops. He said on Twitter the other day, plus it says on his website www.michaelxavier.co.uk

Is that the role done by Julian Ovenden in the original workshop?  Because the site I read had Michael in the other role - would be interested to know who is doing Mark in this workshop as Bertie obviously can't do it.
