Am i right in saying Mark has been really unlucky since been in this show regarding time he has had to take off, he is off the show again this weekend until monday, he seems to have had to take a lot of time of for sickness / injury this year.

Far as I'm aware he hasn't been off that many times really- tended to be the odd day here & there rather than prolonged periods. I'd say he's not been off any more than would be expected doing a role of this magnitude 8x a week. Sam is a v tough role vocally- especially how Mark plays it- so it's understandable that it would strain his voice somewhat. It may not always be that his voice is gone- just that it's strained & needs to be rested rather than risk permanent damage because it's his livelihood. If his voice is damaged permanently that's it for his career so he's wise to rest it when needed.

Between sicness and holidays it's been quite a week at Ghost. 2nd cover Molly (Amy) on as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd cover Oda Mae's (Lisa, Jenny & Olivia), all 3 Sams have been on (Mark, Sam & Spencer) as well as various sister covers and all the swings on.
Credit to a very talented company to get through a tough week where at the most I think 8 regular cast were off one way or another. I saw both shows on Thursday and they were truely faultless.

I didn't even realise Olivia was a Oda Mae cover, does it list her in the programme?
Personally I always love seeing performances with understudies and swings, it makes it feel more fresh!
Do we know who else was in the running for Molly before Siobhan took over who might do the tour?

No she isn't listed in the programme but she was unbelievable in the role.
There were many rumours about who was in the running before Siobhan got the show with Natalie Mendoza being mentioned. As for the tour, casting has not even started yet I believe so we may have to wait a little while yet before we get names to roles for the tour.
Roll on 2013 and getting the show on the road, will be very interesting to see what they do with it.

Natalie Mendoza played Molly in the workshop and she was great and Oliver Tompsett played Sam - they worked really well together.

I saw Amy as Molly last Thursday and she was unbelievable and so talented. Alot of the rest of the cast were also understudies and they were all amazing, especially the understudy for Oda Mae who had everyone in stitches. I will miss this show when it closes!

Aaaaaw you will have seen Olivia Phillip who is the third cover! I've heard amazing things about her- only wish I could have seen her myself as I've seen all three other Oda Mae's- she's the only one I won't have seen.
