Are they any good? I'm debating whether or not to go and see 'The Unexpected Guest', but would appreciate some indication of what it will be like!
Thanks.

It is simply dreadful. Reasonable performances but a moribund play, badly directed. You'll guess whodunnit within the first 20 minutes (there's no other possibility, really, so you WILL guess it) and Joe Harmston's idea of directing is to stand people upright and let them yap at each other. You will cringe, you will sleep, and if you're anything like me you'll sit there in disbelief working out just how much you forked out to take a family of four to see this rubbish.

Ah... thanks, glad I asked- and strangely I did have a vague plan to take my family of four (which would have set us back about £80!).

Definately don't bother! A dreadful play!! I saw the " Agatha Christie Theatre Company" in the WE last year with "THe Hollow" truly appalling! Have you seen the cast of this "epic" - Simon MacCorkindale, Tracey Childs (who?), Frazer Hines - ex Emmerdale when it was a Farm. Mark ( I thought he was dead ) Wynter, and wait for it Dean Gaffney - very ex Eastenders!! Need I say any more? Stay in and rent a DVD!!!

Is that "The Hollow" cast? as "The Unexpected Guest" is coming to Glasgow in the summer and they are billing it as starring Jack Ellis from "Bad Girls".
Which way did he go McGill?

This is the Unexpected Guest cast touring SE England. They may not be signed up for the full tour?
