Big dayseat queue?

No, I arrived at 9:15 and was the first one there.

About 7 people or so, and this was for a two-show day. It was last week when I guess London was quieter than usual.

Ah, ok- thanks for that. I'm aiming to go in a couple of weeks time, so will probably go a bit earlier than you did. :)

Well, caught this play this afternoon. Enjoyed it much more than I ever thought I would.

Firstly, the set is jaw-dropping. I was stunned by how intricate and clever it was

The cast were really wonderful. Capaldi and Warren work wonderfully with each other.

But, I throughly enjoyed the gang. Miller, Wright, Rowe and Fleet are all very well suited to their respective parts.

Like I said, I loved the show and will most certainly be going again as many times as possible before the show closes on April 14th.

I hope that the Gielgud has finally found a successful show!

Edit: Anyone know what the ticket allocation of dayseats is like?

Hoping to get a dayseat on Weds 18th so thanks for the info.
The engine roared, the motor hissed,
And who could see that the road would twist

I went for a day seat yesterday at 14:00, but it was too late.  So I just bought the cheapest tkt at the back of the Stalls.  The view was fine except that, due to the overhang, you miss the top bit of the gorgeous stage set which is quite high.

For me it wasn't as funny as I expected, but it was still very very nice.

Just saw on Twitter that this has broken the box office record at the Gielgud taking "just under £400k" in the week 26 Dec to 1 Jan.

Run has now been extended to April 14th, so I have booked myself some tickets for March.

Just what the doctor ordered: funny, hammed up a bit and a storming performance by an older person! Marcia Warren - what a star. I enjoyed this, including the little cars and would recommend for a jolly night out. Nice set and effects.
