To be honest Daniel I think it was the play not the production.Perhaps it was funnier in 17th century France.There just wasn't enough dramatic tension or plot to hang any jokes on.She Stoops to Conquer,See How They Run,even Charlie's Aunt-they all had good reasons to be running around foolishly.The rest of the audience seemed to enjoy it however and we ended up excellent seats for our ten quid!It didn't help that I hated skiffle as a girl and I don't like it any better now.
