In a way, I hope she doesn't make the necessary improvements - she needs to go away and have some training and to mature before she makes the leap onto the professional stage.

Appearing in Oliver! now would do her no good in terms of building a future career.

3 years of quality coaching and training would set her up well (and hopefully iron out the bad habits she already has)

i think she does want to train but the way the program made it out and the way i uderstood it is  that she couldnt get into drama school!

Auditioning for a musical theatre course is not all about singing.  

If the panel do not see a trainability factor, then they will not look twice.  They are looking to produce all-rounders and if Jessie stood in the singing and acting sections of her audition the way she stands on stage, the bell would have started ringing.

Yes I know that some people get onto a course without any dance training, but that is usually because the panel can see a degree of natural talent and feel that it is worth taking that person and training them up.

Can we deduce from her  posture that she has never had any dance lessons? and consequently would have difficulties with choreographed dance in the show.

Answering any panel back is never going to win friends and ensure an easy passage through to the next round.

Jessie is going to find it a struggle to get much further in any forum if that was a true reflection of her temper

Do we think that she would become quite arrogant even if she doesn't get Nancy? From her attitude to the panel I fear she might get too cocky even at Drama school auditions and expect to get in because she was in the Nancy show... Might just be me though!

No you could be right, but remember that these musical theatre panels have seen a lot of youngsters who have already had West End experience.  

An aweful lot of Eponines and Cosettes and when Oliver was at the Palladium before, a veritable host of Olivers, Dodgers and the gangs used to appear at regular intervals, so I think that the major schools are unlikely to be blown away by one of the Nancys.

However, some of the smaller schools may not have had that experience.

She's more defensive and resistant than arrogant, but that's still not good. Her attitude was made clear last week when she was singing at the same time as Sarah: in response to constructive criticism Sarah was "OK ... OK ... OK" while Jessie was "But ... but ... but".

Yeah, it's not exactly arrogance I agree, either way being defensive is also bad it shows she can't accept criticism.
