Some sad Billy related news: Romy Baskerville, the alternate Grandma for the last couple of years, died last week. She had been absent from the show for some time. She will be sadly missed.

Im guessing dayseats will have gone, but I heard that the box office sells other spare seats off on the day. Just asking about the options, and anyone's experience of turning up on the day - that's all.

Saw Billy Elliot tonight. I got my tucket in that 'top price tickets for £20' deal that was around before Christmas, and got T3 stalls. I have to say I would not have been pleased at all if I'd actually paid anything near top price for my seat - rhe extreme sides at the back of the stalls really should be reduced price, as you lose the very top of the stage due to overhang and lighting rig and have to twist considerably to look at the stage. There were swathes of empty mid-stall side seats, so I got myself upgraded at the interval.
First time I've seen the stage show, and while I did enjoy it I do think the film does a better job in many respects. Though I do now have 'Electricity' stuck in my head!

The dayseat situation with Billy is pretty unpredictable - so you may still have a chance of grabbing a last minute dayseat on the day (I've done this before!). However, another option is to book row B 'restricted view' seats in the stalls in advance, which are the same price as dayseats. You can book them on https://www.victoria...etheatre.co.uk/ where it lets you choose your seats. Good luck!

I sat in row B and whilst you look up at the stage, I never felt like I was missing anything. Sat there on Tuesday this week.

Yeah, I almost always have to sit in row B cuz they're cheap! And although you do have to look up, and you can't see the actors' feet when they dance (which might be annoying for some people), it really is a decent view for that price in my opinion.

Just back from London and saw the show but my question has to do with the area. It looks almost like a miracle that the Victoria Palace has survived the demolition of almost everything else on the block and the block before. Surprising, at least to me, it is still standing there more or less by itself. Was there any talk of this when the buildings surrounding it started to come down? Is it safe and is there any talk, any whatsoever, of Billy closing?
It was doubly disappointing to me as I saw the afternoon performance last Thursday and when I go to the theatre in London (I'm from the USA), I usually stop off and pick up a couple of diet coke cherry (none of the theatres carry that flavor) usually like 2 for less than 2 quid, an aero bar and potato chips (Walkers in the blue package) and nothing was there to get any of these things (even the grocery two or three blocks down had been torn down and the boots that was in the shopping centre seemed to be missing). Guess I just have to change my m.o.
