Just thought I'd start off a thread for this as I'm booked to see the final matinee in Chichester (5th Nov) and I'm so excited! Cast list at the moment is

Sweeney Todd.......MICHAEL BALL
Mrs Lovett..............IMMELDA STAUNTON
Pirelli...……............ROBERT BURT
Judge Turpin..........ALAN RICKMAN (rumour)
Lucy/Beggar Woman OR Johanna......KATIE ROWLEY JONES (rumour)
Others TBC

Anybody else booked yet? Or what do you think of the cast and rumours?

Its the first I have heard of those rumours. I would have thought they would have wanted to secure Alan Rickman as early as possible as its another big name to sell the show on.

Going to see this on the 1st October and I cannot wait! It would be amazing if Alan Rickman was in it but my hopes aren't too high. You never know though, I suppose!

Does anyone know if this will transfer to the West End?  Chichester would be a problem for me but I could manage London and I'm very impressed by the casting.  Out of curiosity, is Robert Burt related to David Burt at all?

This show wants to transfer. Rumoured theatres mentioned have been the Duke of Yorks and the Gielgud in November.
