I am an award-winning writer looking for a strong director to handle one, maybe two of my plays over the coming months. Preferably, you will have contacts in a number of venues around the city/country and will also be able to help me ensure the project gets seen by as many people as possible.Project 1 has only a cast of two (males) and is also currently being made into a full-length feature film. It also won the Sir Michael Caine award for Best New Writing 2011.Project 2 is a three-hander (2M, 1F) with strong language and graphic imagery. It was runner-up in the National George Taylor memorial award for best play 2010. It is possible for both plays to double-up and create an entire evening's entertainment with a total cast of 3.Initially, I would be looking to stage both pieces in a recognised London venue (503, Pleasance, Tristan Bates et al) and then to a wider audience in the South East. National tours and even Europe are certainly possibilities I'd like to explore. As well as having a solid list of credits as a director, I'd prefer it if you had some experience of producing plays as well. That way, we can work together to ensure we have as much funding as is possible and that profits can be maximised.
