I'm not one for going to lots of plays but I'm going to try and make more of an effort this year.

So far this year I have seen:

Man of Mode
History Boys
The Coram Boy

And I have already booked to see:

Equus
The Glass Menagerie
Treats

Anybody else got a recommendation of something good for me to see?

I got into plays about 4 years or so ago, following on from my love of musicals, plus I had more money as I was older. Plays can often be more thrilling and rewarding than musicals. Festen and original cast of History Boys were two examples of theatre where I left thinking 'wow' and made me think so I definately say your right to be going to more plays.

I have no idea if The Lady From Dubuque is a good play or not, but im going simply because you dont get to see Maggie Smith on stage very often!  im also booked for The Entertainer as I am a fan of Robert Lindsey. For light relief im hearing very good things about Boeing Boeing, which im seeng myself in a few weeks.

I think 2006 may have been the year of the musical, 2007 is the year of the play!
