I have done work in the wardrobe department of various regional theatres and West End productions over the past five years and am really interested in spending a year or two in America (ideally working on Broadway). Some of the people I have worked with have advised me that there are often strict union laws in America and that theatre work for a Brit may be complicated to arrange. Does anyone know anymore on this subject and have any advice on working in the States?
