Wow, that is strange! So, who did you see?
If my memory serves it would have been Emily Shaw and Peter Howe.

The website already has Hayley Canham's name down as Matilda but am I right in thinking she doesn't start for a few months yet? And does anybody know if this means either Cleo or Eleanor will be leaving as surely they won't have 5 Matildas.

Does anone know if the Matildas do the same days each week ? For instance Jade did last saturday night, do that mean she'll be on again this saturday night ?

Also it's the new Matilda Hayley's first show tonight. Hope she has a good night :) I thought she wasn't meant to start until August though ?

Yeah, didn't think she was either as that now means there's 5 Matilda's! And in answer to your question no their schedules aren't always the same :)

It's not too unusual to have 5 kids alternating a role - there's been times when Billy Elliot has had 5 boys playing the title role, and times when they only had 3. So I guess it depends on a number of factors.

I was lucky to see Sophia and Kerry before they left and absolutely loved their versions of Matilda. Especially as I thought they were so different to each other, each bringing unique elements to the character. I have also seen Eleanor in the role, so Cleo is currently the only 'original' Matilda I haven't seen. And now there's 3 new Matildas... great! haha!

There are now 5 Matilda's rather than 4, Hayley wasn't due to start until September I believe but they decided to start her with the rest of the girls instead of having her start by herself.

Does anyone know when the main 'stars' are leaving the show?

Bertie Carvel is contracted until 1st July (will not extend). Steve Hurst is contracted until sometime in 2013 (he tweeted as such).  Everyone else - no idea, I presume early Septemberish (a year after rehearsals started last year).
