Is a shame in some ways that she won't be in the West End any time soon, but hopefully it'll let her get out there and get some more experience and hopefully it may lead to lots of good things in the future.

Yea thats true. I guess most leading lady roles are played by much older actresses so being in Hollyoaks will give her experience then she will hopefully go into musicals in the future.

Yep definitely, also true! Though I know if I had been her I'd have wanted to take the role in Flashdance instead, but at least this will keep her in the public eye and may lead to brilliant things.

As I posted a few weeks back, she was DEFINITELY offered Flashdance. An 'offer' is exactly that, though. It's an offer. Offers don't have to be accepted.

From what I hear, Flashdance is going to be a bit of a shambles. Casting still isn't complete and I heard one of the producers themselves say the other night that they don't expect it to last past march 2011.

Hmm Its still early, but I have heard that tickets are not selling as fast as the producers hoped they wouldn.

Yes I was really surprised about this - it's great news for Sophie, but I know lots of people wanted Jessie to be the alternate Nancy as well and there was controversy surrounding it. Still, I'll be really interested to hear reviews of her performance.

On another note, Steph's Smokey Joe's Cafe may be getting a West End transfer, really hope it does!
