I'm a sucker for Jeffrey's The Railway Children and watch it whenever it comes on.

We saw it at at the National Railway Museum, York and it was amazing!
Love to see it again.

Either Ticketmaster or SEE have tickets. It is meant to be amazing !

It was - saw it twice in 2008 from either side of the tracks (transverse) at NRM.

They kept the same cast for 2009.

Couldn't see any on TM but See have them. I hate booking with them though, their fees always seem higher, and they never have seating plans. Services which don't allow you to pick your seats are starting to feel antiquated to me now.

There is a seating plan tab on this link - but don't buy from there as they have a massive mark-up.

Yes SEE seems to whack an enormous mark up on each ticket and then another one on the whole order!

Well they've laid it out similar to York, with 3 sets of seating either side of the track - I saw it from both sides on the same day, and there were different views from either side, but they played to both sides, so there was no detriment to either sets of the audience.

Smack bang in the middle, a few rows up would be best (they're at platform level, playing either on the platform or on a mini platform which runs along the track - platform's at platform level).  The action does take place along the full length, so if you are at the extremities, you won't be permanently looking towards the middle.

FFS!!  £57????  I paid under £15 per show - plus had the NRM to wander around, made the interval different.

Clearly a Business Class production now!

In York was it flat seating or raked? If it's all flat seating it seems a massive difference in price between the different sections for presumably very little change in view, if you're in anything other than row A every seat will be looking at other peoples' heads all the time.

And seconded about the booking fees, why do they only seem to be selling it through See so far? Great though it sounds I'm tempted to give it a miss on account of the high prices and fees. I see TM have got it listed now but no information on fees or when they'll actually start selling tickets.

Christ now you've got me thinking...99% sure it was raked - metallic seating of sorts.

Hopefully others will confirm!
