I've just seen The Woman In Black for the third time (I've only seen it on tour) and think it's brilliant. However I don't believe (though I may be wrong) it's ever been staged on Broadway. Any ideas why? Is the staging to simplistic for Broadway? If it has played Broadway I can only presume it wasn't a success.

The Woman in Black played NY some years ago for a few weeks. Not on Broadway but off an the Minetta Lane, which seats about 299. Not well received in New York.

Thanks for replying. I daresay the Yanks don't know a good play when they see one.
