The classic movie Singin’ in The Rain, was transformed in to a stage version starring Tommy Steele at the London Palladium several years ago, since then various stage versions have emerged and now we a new touring version of the classic tale.
The story revolves around Don Lockwood ( Tim Flavin) and Lina Lamont ( Amy Griffiths) who are Hollywood’s favourite couple, they seem to have it all, looks, talent and fame, they are the stars of the silent movie era. Lina adores Don, however her love is not reciprocated and then to cap it all Don meets and falls head over heels in love with Kathy Selden (Jessica Punch) an aspiring Broadway actress. Read more

The Kneehigh Theatre production Noel Coward’s Brief Encounter enjoyed a very successful run in London before commencing a nationwide tour. Adapted for the stage by Emma Rice this play has lost none of its magic as it moves out of its intimate London venue to larger regional theatres.
From the moment you enter the auditorium the production takes hold, as the cast are all around playing instruments and singing songs from the 1930s era. Read more
Review- Defending the Caveman

In 2000 Defending the Caveman won the Olivier Award for Best Entertainment and nine years later the show is undergoing a further tour, as well as a stint in the West End, and introducing its humour to a whole new audience.
Mark Little (still remembered as Joe Mangel in Neighbours) proves he is an excellent story teller as this is a one man show takes us on a journey from caveman to modern man. Read more

Any show which brings a new audience to a theatre and finishes with people dancing in the aisles cannot be all bad, and riding on the back of the Mamma Mia! Dancing Queen does just that. By combining the hits of ABBA and the 70s, this production tries to produce the songs in a cabaret style but unfortunately often misses the mark. Read more

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is well known as the school musical, by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, that has grown not only in to a full stage show, but a musical that continues to pack theatres both on tour and in the West End.
A few years ago Jason Donovan, and then Phillip Schofield, introduced the show to a new West End audience as the revival packed out the London Palladium. Then reality TV stepped in and the hit Saturday Night Show “Any Dream Will Do” made a star of Lee Mead for winning the title role in the new West End production, while another finalist Craig Chalmers joined the touring version playing the lead role.
