Peter Pan production requires children
March 23, 2009
New World Productions are looking for local children to perform in their up and coming professional production of ‘Peter Pan’. The show is taking place at the Journal Tyne Theatre from 17th-19th April during the Easter School Holidays. Any children who have acting, singing and dancing experience aged between 8 and 14 can audition to be in the show. Girls will be auditioned for the part of Tinker Bell and boys will be auditioned for the parts of Michael & John Darling.
There will also be an extra audition for over 16’s for the lead role of Peter Pan. This part will be for exceptional performers only and can be played by either a male or female.
Director Guy Pascall said:
“If you are interested in performing in ‘Peter Pan’ just come along to the Journal Tyne Theatre in Newcastle on Wednesday 25th March between 4pm-6pm and show us what you can do. We’ll get everyone to read some of the script from the show and also sing a song to give them an opportunity to shine. Everybody that auditions for the production will have to be available for the entire two week Easter School Holiday, for rehearsals with the principal cast as well as the shows themselves”.
If anyone has a question about the auditions they can call New World Productions on 079 0606 1616 or simply just turn up at the Journal Tyne Theatre on Wednesday 25th March between 4pm-6pm and sign in to audition.
There will be at least 6 performances of ‘Peter Pan’ at the Journal Tyne Theatre, Newcastle from April 17th–19th. Tickets, priced from £13 - £14.50, are on sale now and already selling fast.
