New Theatre on Tyneside

The Metro Radio Arean is usually host to pop stars, touring versions of TV shows, such as Strictly Come Dancing and various childrens performances. But this week it has transformed in to a theatre to present Cirque Du Soleils Quidam. Later this year it will once again be transformed in to a theatre with a long run of the hit musical Mamma Mia!
A few years ago the venue played host to the only North East run so far of Les Miserables so with two hit theatre shows this year, may be we could be seeing the venue become that largest theatre in the area, presenting the shows that have so far missed appearing in the North East, we shall see.
