This is the first UK tour of the Olivier award-winning OUR HOUSE which is coming to the Sunderland Empire, for one week only on Tuesday 30th September, starring STEVE BROOKSTEIN and GWYNETH STRONG.
Featuring the most famous songs from 80’s pop sensations MADNESS such as “My Girl”, “Baggy Trousers”, “House of Fun” and “It Must Be Love”, OUR HOUSE tells the story of sixteen year-old Joe, in love for the first time, and the fateful day when something happens to tear his world in two.

He released his second album “40,000 Things” to great acclaim in 2006.
GWYNETH STRONG will play ‘Kath Casey’. Best known as ‘Cassandra’ from “Only Fools and Horses”, she has appeared in numerous other television series, including “New Tricks”, “Real Women”, “A Touch of Frost” and “Harry Enfield’s Brand Spanking New Show”. Her stage work includes “Sugar and Spice” at the Royal Court Theatre, “When You Cure Me” at the Bush theatre and “Three Sisters” directed by Max Stafford-Clark for Out of Joint.
The West End production of OUR HOUSE, which opened in autumn 2002, received rave reviews and public acclaim, winning the 2003 Olivier Award for ‘Best New Musical’.
