WOS Northeast get access to Qdos MD

March 19, 2008

We are delighted that Michael Harrison, Managing Director of Qdos Pantomimes has agreed to give us a monthly interview on the progress of the pantomime Robinson Crusoe and the Caribbean Pirates, which opens at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle, in December.

Micheal will once again be writing and directing the panto, with Clive Webb and Danny Adams starring (other casting to be announced).

This will be the forth show they have worked together on at the venue, each breaking the previous years box office record.

Cinderella, with Jill Halfpenny, Clive and Danny started the run, the following year they returned with Jack and the Beanstalk. The 07/08 smash hit Aladdin followed this time with Faye Tozer as the female.

Last year we reported from the theatre as the show prepared to open, followed by press night and finally an article written from backstage. We have been  promised the same access this year so if you ever wanted to know how a panto was written and produced from start to finish keep following this site.

Qdos is the most prolific producer of pantomimes in the country and Newcastle not only gets one of their shows, the MD himself writes and directs the production!

The Theatre Royal is already reporting record sales for the show and there is no doubt that the stars have a real fan base in the North East.

Our first interview with Michael will be in early April, so watch this space………….
