High School Adds Dates

high-school-resize.jpgNorth Eastern audiences are clamouring for seats to Disney’s High School Musical – The Ice Tour, which arrives in Newcastle from January 29th to Feb 3rd 2008.
The prospect of two smash hits on ice is proving to be a winning combination, with many shows already sold out for the six day run at the Metro Radio Arena.  Ticket sales have been so brisk that an additional matinee performance has been added to the run on Friday 1st February at 4.00 p.m.

Inspired by the smash hit Disney channel original movies ‘High School Musical’ and ‘High School Musical 2’, this all new ice show is a live fusion of songs, dances and team spirited fun, featuring music from the popular High School Musical soundtrack, including ‘We’re All in This Together,’ ‘Get’cha Head in the Game,’ ‘Start of Something New,’ ‘Stick to the Status Quo,’ along with new music from High School Musical 2.

Arena Director of Marketing Paul Tappenden said:“It seems that the public just don’t seem to be able to get enough of High School Musical! We had opened up five extra shows prior to this latest ticket release. Business has been really brisk so I don’t expect the new 4pm Friday show tickets to be available for very long. At this time of the year, tickets for many shows are bought as Christmas presents, and High School Musical is proving to be a very popular choice.”
