Keith Jack (pictured) is currently starring as the narrator in the Bill Kenwright tour of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which opens at the Palace Theatre, Manchester on the 28th April.

Following his appearance on reality show, Any Dream Will Do, Keith has not stopped working. He has been attached to many projects, according the gossip magazines.

Natalie Casey talks to WOS Manchester

Actor Natalie Casey who stars opposite Jonathan Wilkes in The Wedding Singer, touring the country (opening in Manchester) from February – talks about sibling rivalry, Fame, musical theatre & 80’s songs.

Casey is best known for her role as Carol Groves in television’s Hollyoaks. Also on the box, Casey has appeared in Two Pints of Lager (And a Packet of Crisps) and Brookside: Double Take! and has presented 100 Greatest Musicals, 24: Access All Areas and Big Brother’s Little Brother.

She has been seen on stage in The Vagina Monologues at the Manchester Palace, The Flint Street Nativity at the Liverpool Playhouse, and Harold Brighouse’s Hobson’s Choice directed by Timothy Sheader at Newbury’s Watermill Theatre. Read more

Wedding Singer Wilkes talks to WOS Manchester

Jonathan Wilkes talks about his favourite stage role, his new show The Wedding Singer and Manchester audiences. Jonathan Wilkes has presented You’ve Been Framed, CDUK and a host of other TV shows. He has carved out a career in musical theatre starring in everything from Grease, Tommy, Guys and Dolls and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. He is currently in preparation for the lead role in the UK premiere of The Wedding Singer which opens in Manchester.

Who has been your favourite character and why?
I think i would have to say Rocky Horror, just because of the sheer love of Frank…I was allowed to do anything I wanted and he is without a doubt the most characteristic person ever.

You have done television presenting, how does this prepare you for
theatre?
If anything theatre prepares you for TV. I love theatre, as it still
excites me when I walk into a venue.

How does it feel to star in the UK Premiere of a Broadway show?
It’s everything I’ve ever wanted - to be first in your own country to do
a show.

What preparation have you had to do for your role in The Wedding Singer?
Well my experience at a wedding is I get up and sing at everyone..I love

Jeff Hordley talks to WOS Manchester

Everyone recognises actor Jeff Hordley for his most famous role in the hit soap opera, Emmerdale, as bad boy Cain Dingle. Like many jobbing actors, this has the odd drawback as audiences believe as soon as they are off the screen that they stop working. The complete opposite is the case for Jeff, as any theatre goer in the North will tell you, this talented actor treads the boards regularly.

Recently Hordley starred in the highly acclaimed And Did Those Feet at the Octagon in Bolton. He now returns to this wonderful venue for the musical Oh! What A Lovely War, starring alongside Matthew Kelly and another soap veteran, John McArdle (Billy Corkhill in the hit Brookside.)

Here, Jeff talks about his love of The Octagon, his role in Emmerdale, his DJ stints and how to keep the stamina going in a musical.

Willy Russell talks to WOS Manchester

willy.jpgWriter Willy Russell talks about Blood Brothers… The Movie, Liverpool and the capital of culture celebrations, his love of Slava’s Snow Show and his future plans, including his forthcoming date in Manchester.

Willy Russell has been a hairdresser and teacher before going on to pen both the score and lyrics for the much loved musical Blood Brothers. He has also written a novel, The Wrong Boy and many plays including, Educating Rita, Shirley Valentine and Breezeblock Park. Recently he played at the Edinburgh Festival with Tim Firth in a show called The Singing Playwrights. Willy’s current album Hoovering The Moon features Kate Rusby amongst many other special guests.

Russell is about to play Manchester for one night only in his show An Audience With Willy Russell at the Lowry.
