The hit show Footloose is back and arrives at the Opera House from Mon 17- Sat 22nd November.
Ren (Stephen Webb) is the new boy in town. The problem is, Beamont is a place where dancing and music is banned. Will Ren turn the small town into “Almost Paradise?” Will then townsfolk end up singing “Let’s Hear It For The Boy?” Well, the show features all of these hits songs and more.
It also has high energy via Karen Bruce’s high octane choreography. Footloose stars two performers known for their success in The Wedding Singer; Jodie Jacobs and Simon Lipkin.

Innocent girl or femme fatale, Manon is young, beautiful and naïve, and she is in love. Caught between two men vying for her affection, Manon becomes entangled in a web of passion, love and vanity, unable to choose. Student Des Grieux offers a pure love, but the promises and opulence of Monsieur GM entice Manon to the life of a courtesan, with tragic consequences.
Performed by English National Ballet’s 67 dancers and symphony orchestra, this production of Manon was premiered by the Royal Danish Ballet in 2003, and is given its UK premiere by English National Ballet in 2008.
