THE SHOW:
John Millington Synge’s great comic masterpiece tells the story of Christy Mahon, who stumbles into a public house in County Mayo claiming he has killed his father and so capturing the romantic attention of the daughter of the house, Pegeen Mike.
One of the world’s foremost interpreters of Synge, Druid’s Artistic Director and Tony Award-winner, Garry Hynes, is credited with staging the definitive ‘Playboy’. Don’t miss Druid’s welcome return to The Lowry following their sell-out hit with The Cripple of Inishmaan in Autumn 2008.
