Cirque’s Quidam set for M.E.N Arena

The hugely successful Cirque Du Soleil bandwagon continues to roll with news that their Quidam is to play at the Manchester Evening News Arena from 25 - 28 March, 2009.

Well over a hundred years since its premiere Puccini’s ever enduring thriller remains as popular and brilliant as ever it was. Despite being regularly performed in the repertoire of most major opera companies the piece proves time and again that it’s a winner and continues to easily fill theatres right to the rafters. WOS winner West Side Story returns

WWRY: Queen of the musicals?

The UK Tour of We Will Rock You was launched at the Manchester’s Hard Rock Cafe in fine style. Overseen by a gold-coloured figure of Freddie Mercury, Queen band members Brian May and Roger Taylor, together with writer/Director Ben Elton, made presentations and took questions from an invited audience of regular theatre-goers. This is typical of the hands-on approach which they have taken to the show, garnering it a huge loyal following in the West End. (more…)
