Win! Richard Alston Dance tix
This competition is now closed and the winner has been informed.
We are offering you one pair of tickets to see Richard Alston dance Company at the Lowry.
THE SHOW:
The Richard Alston Dance Company’s 2009 appearances at The Lowry will include two of Alston’s most exhilarating works….
Blow Over (2008) is performed to Philip Glass’s propulsive Songs from Liquid Days. This isn’t Glass in cool, serene mood – this is music of mesmerizing accumulative power, and the dancers have to fly to keep up, in great leaping arcs of energy. Blow Over was greeted by standing ovations and 5-star reviews at its recent world prèmiere.
Also in the programme, a revival of Alston’s iconic Movements from Petrushka (1994), to Stravinsky’s own piano arrangement of his music – played live on stage by the virtuoso pianist Jason Ridgway.
A new work from Martin Lawrance, who’s Body & Soul was so well received by Lowry audience members on RADC’s last visit, completes the mixed bill. Lawrance’s new piece will be made to two of Bach’s enduringly popular Brandenburg Concertos, Nos 2 & 3.

Aw, this was a genuinely nice article. An idea I would like to put in writing like this additionally, taking time and actual effort to create a very beneficial content, but what can I say? I procrastinate alot and by no means seem to get something done.
